Kindergarten Kickoff

As part of online registration, you will be asked to upload your child's immunization record, proof of age (i.e. birth certificate, passport) and proof of residency (utility bill from the last few months). 

You will still need to complete the annual LSR7 registration process for all new and returning students in July 2024. Completing that process in July is a requirement of all families, but is especially important for ensuring your child is assigned transportation for the start of the 2024-25 school year.

Early registration will provide you with the opportunity to receive school communications regarding back-to-school plans and allows our schools to better project and plan for class sizes and teacher placements. Additionally, fully-registered incoming Kindergarteners are eligible to attend Summer Learning Institute (SLI) in June 2024.

1. Enroll your child in PowerSchool using the early registration link.

2. Create your parent portal through PowerSchool  

3. Between April 10 - April 24 - Enroll for SLI 

   • Go to PowerSchool to the Parent Portal

   • Click on SLI (Menu: left side)

   • Enroll your child 

   • Enroll ALL of your children at the same time in PowerSchool - they must be in PowerSchool before you can enroll them in SLI!

   • Enroll ALL of your children at the same SLI school. 

   • **Important** Make sure ALL your children are enrolled at the same SLI site and YMCA Day Camp site for SLI. 

     • Example: If your three children are enrolled in the Y-Club at Richardson Elementary, enroll them at Richardson for Summer Learning.

Dates: May 28 - June 28 at all SLI sites (pending last day of school / closed June 19th) 

Times: 6:30 AM to start of school and school dismissal until 6:00 PM. Open 6:30-6:00 on no school days.

1. Your child must be 5 years old by May 28 through going into 5th grade to participate in this program.

2. Enrollment begins on Feb. 27 - numbers are limited so enroll early.

3. Programs are closed June 19th.

4. Y-Club weekly deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable.

Dates:  July 1 - August 9 (closed July 4 and Aug. 12-20)

Times:  6:30 AM - 6:00 PM

Sites:  Cedar Creek Elementary, Hawthorn Hill Elementary, Highland Park Elementary, Richardson Elementary and Sunset Valley Elementary 

*Meadow Lane Elementary will close after June 28 - be sure to choose a different site for the rest of the summer break for your child if they're signed up at this location during SLI.
